Check out the video lookbook for all of our classes launching this month. We have an exciting range of projects, from fresh ways to look at painting and collage to transforming clothing and propagating your houseplants. Summer is the perfect time to stretch your creative muscles and work on something new.

July 1 – Words Inform Images: 31 Prompts Using Writing as Inspiration for Art with e bond

We’re so excited to have multimedia artist and educator e bond back with another unique daily practice. You will explore various ways that reading and writing can intersect with visual art and how one medium can inform the other. She’ll share some of her favorite fiction, non-fiction, poetry and music to generate interest points from which to play and experiment.

July 7 – DIY Letter Decor with Plaid Crafts + Easy Acrylic Painting

Oversized letters are a fabulous way to add artful personality to any space. Kyra Valentine, Content Studio Manager at Plaid Crafts, takes you through three different letter projects using FolkArt paint and Mod Podge. You’ll learn color blocking, masking and splatter techniques, and how to add textural interest with a fun pom-pom. 

July 14 – Thread Painting: Embroider with Pressed Flowers with Anna Hultin

Connect to the natural world and preserve your summer memories by using dried botanicals in your embroidery. Anna Hultin of OlanderCO Embroidery will teach you how to select and press plants and combine them with simple embroidered stitches to create unique botanical studies.

July 21 – Sewing Hacks for the Katie Dress with Brittany J Jones

Take a look at your closet with fresh eyes with Brittany J Jones – co-owner of Melanated Fabrics, sewing instructor, and brand ambassador for Husqvarna Viking. She is back to show you how to alter a shirt dress in two different ways: adding a drawstring waist to change the silhouette and also cutting it into a cute top with a new pocket.

July 28 – Plant Talk with The Tender Gardener: Repotting and Propagation of Houseplants
