DIY 4th of July Roundup

Fourth of July is one of our favorite holidays — it means summer is in full swing, we get to spend time outside with our families and loved ones, and there’s an abundance of summer-tastic crafting ideas floating around the web. Here’s a round up of DIY projects we discovered on our favorite blogs. How sweet and simple are these custom matchboxes? We found them on the blog Almost Makes Perfect, where Molly was kind enough to share a free printable of her design.

4th of July DIYs

There’s no better time to whip up a beer coozie than summer. Our very own Kelly Wikinson gave this unremarkable accessory a much needed makeover, check out her gingham beer coozie tutorial on the Cbug blog. No Fourth of July should go by without some sparkles, which is why we love this fun straw sparkler project from the blog Hubby Made Me.

4th of july food ideas

Quite possibly our favorite part of this holiday? The food of course! Maybe it’s the fact that everything consumed on the 4th of July usually is outside, or maybe it’s how long the day feels, but food just tastes better on the 4th. Here are some things we wouldn’t mind putting down our pie holes — these delicious looking cupcakes with festive bunting from Please Note, spiked boozy watermelon from Sweet Paul, and this lemon poppy seed ice cream recipe from the ladies of Hello!Lucky.

No matter how you celebrate, we hope you have a fantastic fourth!
