When I grew up, summer meant the creak of screen doors, mosquito bites, lightening bugs and swimming in rocky-bottomed Virginia creeks.
It also meant getting crafty at the kitchen table with my sisters and friends, dreaming up projects, inventing stories to surround our creations, and spending the long days of summer daydreaming inside homemade forts.
This summer, we’re encouraging that dreamy crafting for the whole family with Camp Creativebug. Every week this summer, we’ll bring you one kid-friendly class, from Shrinky Dink Jewelry to Paper Mache Magic Wands to a stamped teepee which makes a sweet Camp Creativebug base all summer long.
Dreaming up and filming this series prompted a lot of nostalgia around here for our long-ago summers full of unhurried creativity. The hope is that these classes will inspire and instill some of those same memories for your whole family.
