We adore our hometown of San Francisco. Where a juicy, rich stew of creativity and technology intersects in ways that allow companies like ours to thrive. Yes, creativity abounds the world over. But it swirls and settles and flourishes in a particular way here.
Re:Make 2013 is an example of that. Our pals at Brit + Co put on a conference today that pulled in big thinkers to talk about how technology is changing creative industries. When Brit kicked off her welcome speech today, one quote pretty much summed up the philosophy that drives us here at Creativebug:
“There’s no such thing as creative people and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don’t.” -Brene Brown
As for tomorrow, the Re:Make Craft Fair is the celebration to cap off today’s goodness. Nearly 100 local makers will be at Fort Mason to sell their wares, from pottery to posters, jewelry to handbags. You can read more about the inspiration here.
Artisans and makers from across the country will lead hands-on workshops ranging from 3D-printing to jewelry. Many of them will have pop-up shops so that you can buy their awesome creations.
