Creativebug is proud to share that Radmegan will be on TLC’s Craft Wars tonight with her crafty friend Ashley J. Long. You’ve met Radmegan here but what else should you know about this dynamic duo and their crafty television battle against two other teams of worthy opponents?

Who is Ashley J. Long?
Ashley is a life-long doodler and self proclaimed weirdo, who has been doing custom illustration work for over a decade. She spent the last six years working in the Los Angeles animation industry, on the Fox show American Dad. By day, she does storyboards, prop design, and character design, and has done work for shows including The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and the Cleveland Show. By night, she makes creatures out of faux fur, feathers, and anything delightfully gaudy! Wumplings, her line of plush toys have been featured in galleries around LA, and were one of the major highlights in Ashley’s Craft Wars application.

Who is Radmegan?
Ashley’s Craft Wars assistant, Megan “Radmegan” Andersen is a Los Angeles-based blogger and crafter who has recorded a number of online craft and photography workshops, she’s teaches live craft classes (in fact, that’s where she met Ashley- who was a student in her first class at the Urban Craft Center!) she hosts craft parties, and contributes craft articles for various magazines. She’s an all-around craft-aholic.

Their episode, a Halloween challenge, airs tonight on TLC at @ 8|7c, and we wanted to know, What was your FAVORITE thing about being on Craft Wars?

Ashley: I know it’s a cliche, but it’s an honor simply to be nominated! Getting to stand on that stage in front of the judges was a real thrill, and it meant that my work was deemed not only technically skillful,
but also entertaining to others.

Megan: The energy of the show was electric. It was really fun to meet the other crafters and to be part of a larger community of folks who love making and creating things. Plus, I loved working with Ashley. Our crafting styles are different, but we get along very well and I respect her immensely.

We are thrilled to see her on a different screen tonight, and look forward to the results!

GOOD LUCK ASHLEY AND MEGAN!
