Here’s a little more about each artist:
Maker extraordinaire, Courtney is the author of Playing with Image Transfers, and Washi Tape 101 and Playing With Surface Design published by Quarry Books. Courtney teaches workshops all over the country and online at Creativebug.com. Her work has been featured on Oh Happy Day, Design Sponge, the SF Chronicle,Instagram and BuzzFeed. She makes something everyday and can be found on instagram as @ccerruti
She sees books as objects to be read and re-purposed, candy wrappers as paper flower petals, toilet paper tubes as a menagerie of animals. She sees the potential in the discarded, history in the mundane and art in the everyday. She saves everything, makes anything and teaches from a place of passion and authenticity. Courtney believes everyone is creative and she’d rather spend an evening drinking tea and painting than doing anything else (except maybe scavenging treasures abroad).
Pam is an artist, crafter, and general creative pursuit enthusiast. Her seemingly endless artistic curiosity has lead to her prolific creativity in many different mediums. She’s been published in numerous books and magazines as a contributing artist, and teaches art classes all over the world. Known best for her art journaling, she also paints, stitches, hand letters, doodles and more, blogging the adventure as she goes. Color combinations, breaking the “rules”, and the organic development of art, are her leading inspirations, no matter the medium. She lives in Southern California, with her husband Bob, and children Dugan and Ali, and makes time to make something daily.
She currently has an AMAZING Creative Sketchbooking work along where you can learn how to develop a unique, intuitive artistic style. In this class, Pam shares her approach to using “action and reaction” to create artwork in a sketchbook. You’ll learn how to draw and doodle using your dominant and non-dominant hands and create backgrounds with collage and abstract brush strokes. You will continue to build on your backgrounds throughout the course, allowing each action to be inspired by your last. This class is truly an inspiration for anyone who feels they lack creativity, as Pam encourages everyone to find the artist within.
