29DayDraw_Giveaway_Blog_900x480

Because the January Daily Drawing Challenge with Lisa Congdon was such a rousing success, we thought, hey, why not fan the flames of creativity and host a drawing challenge for February, too? And so, due to popular demand, we are thrilled to present our February Daily Drawing Challenge. For 29 days, we will release bite-sized drawing classes taken from the Creativebug archives. Taught by expert drawing instructors Molly Hatch and Heather Ross, you’ll learn classic techniques for rendering everyday objects as well as opportunities to practice your blind contour skills. For this challenge, we will be giving away a HUGE PRIZE to the winning participant.

  1. For clarification:

    1) we watch those specific videos on day they are released but we draw something that is considered everyday” that is NOT on the list of videos?
    2) to win a prize you have to post one drawing every day? Or do all the drawings and post them before the deadline

    Thanks!

    • That is correct. In total you will have drawn 33 things. 29 which come from the 29 Things to Draw class series, and 4 that are every day objects that are not on the list.

To win the prize you have to post all of your drawings before the deadline, but it will definitely be funner and easier to follow along every day. Hope that helps.

  2. Wait I misread what I first asked about

So we draw everything from the videos and once a week for the four weeks we draw an object of our choice. Is that correct?

Still want confirmation about the prize thing when get a chance

    Thanks!

    Elana

  3. Hopefully last question

Do we draw the objects in the order of the list above or in the order the videos are in and labeled? Lemon is day 2 on list but I think it’s day 4 on video list

    Thanks

    • Hi Cathy,
You are eligible for the runner up prize but not the trip to the Creativebug studio. Hope that helped answer your question.

  4. Is #5 of this contest a must? (Post the following graphic on your Instagram, tag 3 friends and tag Creativebug)? #2 says: (You can also post your images to the class page in the member gallery if you do not have an Instagram or a smartphone). But the way the rules read we must be posting on Instagram to win. Please clarify. Thanks!

    • Hi Jackie,
There are two different prizes, which call for two different ways to enter. To be eligible for the trip to the Creativebug studios, you must:
      1. Participate in days 1-29 of the challenge and post your drawings on Instagram or the Creativebug gallery.
      2. Repost the graphic, tag 3 friends, and tag Creativebug.
      3. Every week of the challenge – 4 weeks – draw an every day object that is not on the list and post your drawing to Instagram and tag Creativebug plus use the hashtag #CBDrawADay.
      4. Follow Creativebug, Sakura of America, and Michaels on Instagram
      5. Enter Rafflecopter widget below

To be elegible for the other prize you must:
      1. Participate in days 1-29 of the challenge and post your drawings on Instagram or the Creativebug gallery.
      2. Enter Rafflecopter Widget

  5. Hi, can we post multiple drawings in one photo on instagram? I am entering the contest late and would like to combine them with a photo collage app so I don’t have to make 9 separate posts. Thanks!

  6. I love these drawing challenges – I did January with Lisa which was fun and whimsical, and have enjoyed these more traditional instructions for February -,I am just uploading the images today, including the 4 ordinary objects that aren’t part of the prompts. Because I am uploading all at once does that disqualify me from eligibility for the grand prize? It seems confusing ? Thank you!

  7. Hi CreativeBug! Four days I saw that there were 3 runner up prizes but now it was changed to only 2. Is there a reason for that?

    • Hi Hillary,
That was a typo on our part. There are 3 prizes overall, 2 of those being runner up prizes. Sorry about that.
